I've been a computer
techie/geek for over 30 years. When I first started out no techie could
even lift a computer let-alone carry one under your arm. So, for many
years I've been slogging towers both big and small up and down
stairs, in & out of buildings. Some of these behemoths weighed over
40-50 pounds or more!
These days, while computers are getting smaller and a whole lot lighter, I'm getting older! It's been a big
temptation to develop a drop-off & pick-up only policy for computers, but
I know that many of my Clients still prefer me to attend their place so they can
learn while they watch me fix their computers.
About 6 years ago I discovered a fantastic geek gadget that makes toting ANY
size of computer a breeze. It's called the
"Gear Grip", and
it's made by Case Ace Products of Southern California. Since I
got my first one, let me tell you, it's actually
lengthened my computer repair career. I recently bought another one
to carry in the car as a spare.
I can safely bundle up any size tower in
this magnificent adjustable harness, pop the cd's, documents, parts,
mouse/keyboard, etc., in the convenient side-pockets, grab the sturdy
grip like a suitcase and poof ... next thing you know it's on my
service bench. It even has a shoulder strap!
If you're a
professional Computer Technician like myself, or a PC gamer that
loves to go to events and pack your gear with you, this is the gadget for you. I use the
GearGrip Pro harness myself and just bought a second one. I'm so
busy that I need 2 and the first one that's 6 years old and hoisted
dozens & dozens of different sized computers is still in
excellent condition. Best of all it goes for less than $40!
GearGrip also supplies display carrying
harnesses for both CRT's & LCD's, Gaming Harnesses for PS2 & Xbox
360, Console Game Systems, Apple iMacs!, and Micro & Micro
LT Computer Harnesses. Something new they have are these
cool looking Disc Vault Gamers Disc Cases in 4 colors. Gotta
get me some of those. Also be sure to checkout the
radical new Notebook Travel Harness.
GearGrip Harnesses
do come in a few sizes and options - from barebones to all-trimmed
out - get the one (or ones) that suits you. I have the GearGrip Pro
Computer Harness, a GearGrip LCD combo Shield/Harness and a GearGrip
CRT Monitor Carrying Harness (all with shoulder straps). Technology is what GearGrip is all
about. Technology is a Geeks middle name!! My kind of people, my
kind of product.
Tell em
